Questions about publications
- How do I submit a project?
- We take project submissions via regular mail, air courier and email addressed to the editors. (Please limit your email to 3 MB.) Refer to the PDF file for details on what to submit.
Please be aware that we will not contact you regarding your project and we do not return any materials that are submitted.
- I have a question about an article in one of your publications. Who should I contact?
- Please send an email to the editors.
- Can I copy part of an article?
- You may only copy material for personal use. If you wish to copy or reuse any part of a publication for commercial purposes, please contact the editors via email.
Questions about services (architectural photographs, advertising, press submissions)
- I am interested in some of the photos in your magazine. Is it possible to obtain them?
- Photos may not be used or copied without permission. We do sell photos, however. You can purchase them on our Architectural Photographs page.
- How do I post a job opening?
- Job listings are handled as advertisements, so please contact the International Business Department (ja-business@japan-architect.co.jp).
- How do I submit a press release?
- There are several categories of press releases: New Products, News (including announcements of results and awards, etc.), and Exhibitions / Events / Competitions. Also, please see Press Submissions page.
About Shinkenchiku ONLINE SHOP
- How do I pay?
- We generally only take credit cards. However, if you would like to pay using a different method, please contact us for more information.
- How long do products stay in the Shopping Cart?
- What you put in the Shopping Cart remains there until you log out or close your browser. Please be aware that you will be automatically logged out if you don't access the site for a certain period time.
- Why are the prices different on the Japanese page and English page?
- Prices and shipping differ depending on whether we are shipping domestically or overseas. Domestic shipping is only possible with a Japanese account that has a registered address in Japan. Overseas shipping is only possible with an English account that has a registered address overseas.
- Do you ship overseas?
- If you want a product sent overseas, please place the order from the English page.
- Where do I order publications by Shinkenchiku-sha and A+U Publishing?
- You can purchase the publications on our Online Shop. Back issues may be purchased from the following merchants. (Please call to check availability beforehand.)
- How do I change the address for my subscription?
- Contact us using the following.

- Does the Online Shop issue receipts?
- When you make a purchase on the Online Shop, your payment is processed through the credit card company, so as of the present we are unable to issue a receipt. Please refer to the statement you receive from your credit card company.
- How long are shipping times?
- We normally ship orders within one to two business days. Thereafter it depends on the shipping method. The delivery date will vary by a number of days depending on how the order is sent. If it has been two weeks since you placed your order and it has still not arrived, contact us using the Contact Us via e-mail (ja-business@japan-architect.co.jp）.

- Is it possible to buy back issues from 1999 and earlier?
- We do not currently sell back issues from 1999 and earlier.
- Are you planning to reprint a+u February 1998 Extra Edition Peter Zumthor?
- We have received many inquiries regarding this, but there are no plans to print another edition.
- Is it possible to have multiple member accounts?
- You need a unique email address to get an account. It is possible for one person to register more than one account, but you cannot register the same email address.
- How do I change my information?
- You can change information at the right-hand column of the website (login reguired).
- I have a question about something on your site.
