Kathrin Aste was born in Innsbruck, Austria in 1969. In 2000 she completed her diploma at the faculty for architecture in University of Innsbruck. Since 2000 she has taught in the faculty for architecture in University of Innsbruck as an assistant. She established astearchitecture in 2004.
Frank Ludin was born in Weil am Rhein, Germany in 1972. In 2004 he completed his diploma at the faculty for architecture in University of Innsbruck. Since 2005 he has been a partner of astearchitecture.
They try to provide an intersection point between teaching and research, apart from covering conventional architectural projects.
