Hans-Jörg Ruch
Hans-Jörg Ruch was born in Switzerland in 1946. He obtained his Diploma of Architecture at the ETH Zurich, Switzerland in 1971 and his Masters Degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York, USA in 1973. He worked for Obrist and Partners Architects from 1974 to 1977 and practiced with Urs Huesler from 1977 to 1988. He established his own office in 1989. Since 1990 he has been a visiting professor at Rensselear Polytechnic Institute. His major works include Conversion Grison Museum of Art in Chur, Switzerland (with P. Calonder and P. Zumthor), 1989, Library of the Community of St. Moritz, Switzerland, 1997 and Commercial building Palace Gallery opposite Badrutt’s Palace Hotel, St. Moritz, Switzerland, 2002.
