Mohsen Mostafavi
Mohsen Mostafavi graduated from Architectural Association
of School of Architecture (AA School) in London in 1976. He
studied at the Department of Art, University of Essex (1976–1981)
and Cambridge University (1981–1984). After teaching
at several universities, he become director of the Harvard
Graduate School of Design (GSD) in 1992. From 1995 to 2004,
he was chairman of the AA School. He has been Dean of the College
of Architecture, Art and Planning at Cornell University since
2004. As an architecture critic he has written many books as
well as numerous articles. Structure as Space (2006) is a recent
publication. He has worked as a curator, planning many exhibitions,
including an instalation of Louis Vuitton in Tokyo in 2003.
He has also served on the committies of several leading architectural
awards. He has been an advisor of a+u since April, 2006.
