The deadline for the 2003 Shinkenchiku Residential Design Competition was September 1, 2003. The judge Ken Sakamura examined submitted entries in a jury meeting held at the office of Shinkenchiku-sha Co., Ltd. in Tokyo and selected winners as listed below. Among the total 209 entries, 86 came from 27 countries outside Japan.
